About the Grange Hall Coffeehouse

The Grange Hall Coffeehouse is an incorporated non-profit dedicated to bringing great music and an evening out to the people of Sandwich, Cape Cod, and beyond.

The idea came to us, a group of friends who live in Sandwich, on a bitter cold evening in January 2004: wouldn't it be great if we could create a venue in Sandwich for live music and an enjoyable evening out. None of us had any experience in the music and coffeehouse business, but we had the desire to make it happen and a lot of great help along the way. Our very first concert in May 2004 featured local artists who volunteered their time and played to a full-house, enthusiastic audience. For all of us, each concert since then has been a great thrill and a learning experience.

By the end of our 2007 Spring Season, we will have featured a diversity of musicians such as folk singers Lori McLenna, Christine Lavin, Patty Larkin, Zoe Lewis, and Antje Duvekot, jazz duo Billy Novick & Guy Van Duser, blues artist Rory Block and the powerhouse ensemble Roomful of Blues, traditional and celtic groups Fourth Street String Band and the Atwater-Donnelly duo, and the Peruvian world sounds of Gitano with D'Rafael Zevallos. And of course, our local favorites: bluesman George Gritzbach, the Tripping Lily trio, and the Rolling Blackouts!

Our goal is simple: to offer great music and a wonderful evening out to the town of Sandwich and the greater Cape Cod community. We welcome your ideas and suggestions - most of all, we hope to see you at the Grange Hall Coffeehouse!
